Throughout his career, Philip has focused on driving transformation in health and human services to make a difference in the lives of those in need. He balances collaboration and innovation with attention to detail and a focus on data.
Previously, Philip was a venture architect at Redesign Health, a healthcare startup creator. Prior to that, he served as vice president for strategic accounts at Unite Us, which provides a national network and software platform to connect community-based organizations, government agencies, and healthcare organizations. Philip also spent ten years at Accenture where, as managing director, he built Accenture’s health insurance exchange business and served as a leader on the firm’s Covered California and Healthcare.gov projects. His work at Accenture spanned Medicaid managed care, social determinants of health, and COVID response. Prior to working in the private sector, Philip spent 10 years with the Massachusetts Medicaid program, where he served as COO from 2007-2010.
Philip received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Duke University and also holds a master’s degree in urban and environmental policy and planning from Tufts University. He serves on the board of Care Ring, a nonprofit that provides healthcare to the uninsured, and on the board of the Duke Student Publishing company. He lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his wife Denise.
